TurF Main Street Vancouver: Fitness, Coffee and Community

The Social Pulse: A New Spot for Your Workout and Coffee Routine on Main Street
A workout, a good coffee and a catch-up with a friend. That’s a pretty good start to the weekend.
TurF’s new location at 3988 Main Street, near East 24th Avenue, brings all of that together, with a fitness studio, kitchen, coffee bar and shop in one space.
If you’ve been looking for a reason to switch up your usual routine, this is one to put on your radar.
From Kitsilano to Main Street
Founded by sisters Deanne and Delaney Schweitzer, TurF first opened in Kitsilano in 2017. Its Main Street location started welcoming visitors in September, bringing the concept to a new neighbourhood.
The appeal is easy to understand: come for a class, stay for something to eat and leave a little time for coffee afterwards. You can also stop by the cafe without booking a workout.
You’ll find the current Main Street menu and class schedule on TurF’s website.
A different kind of coffee date
We love the idea of making your next catch-up a little more active.
Book a class with a friend you haven’t seen in a while, then grab coffee afterwards when you actually have time to talk. It’s a simple way to fit movement and connection into the same morning, especially when everyone’s calendar is full.
And if your ideal Saturday starts slowly? Skip the class, order something from the cafe and ease into the day.
Make a morning of Main Street
Once you’re finished, spend a little time exploring the neighbourhood.
Browse a vintage clothing store, pop into a small boutique or look for something unexpected for your home. If you usually head straight to your favourite brunch spot and back again, take a different route and see what you’ve been missing.
You don’t need a packed itinerary. A class, coffee and a little browsing can be enough to make the morning feel like time well spent.
Check TurF’s current hours and class availability before heading over, as offerings can change while the new location settles in.
It’s the little things that make a neighbourhood feel like home
When you’re choosing where to live, it’s easy to focus on the kitchen, the floor plan and the view. But think about what you’d love to have within walking distance, too.
Your favourite coffee. A workout you look forward to. A few independent shops where you always find something good.
These are the places that become part of your week, and they’re worth considering when you’re looking for your next home.
TurF gives us another reason to spend a morning on Main Street. If you’re drawn to a neighbourhood where you can get out, move and meet a friend close to home, it’s worth exploring.
